The Most Powerful Road-Legal Ferrari >> F12 Berlinetta
Posted By Matt on April 18, 2012 In Categories: CarsWith similar styling from the Ferrari FF and the Ferrari California, the F12 Berlinetta’s sleek and aggressive lines make one fierce looking italian stalion.
It was designed to be the most powerful road-legal Ferrari ever created. The usual layout and chassis of Ferraris have been streamlined and lowered to create “a very compact car with a lower center of gravity that is further back in the chassis, and a level of aerodynamic efficiency that sets new standards.” The chassis utilizes 12 different kinds of alloys to create a 20% stiffer frame (also much lighter.)
In the heart of this chassis, the F12 features a 6.3L V12 that dishes out 740 horsepower, at a cyclone-rivaling 8500 rpm, and 508 lb-ft of torque. The engine is attached to a dual-clutch F1-style transmission.
This puppy will shift from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and will hit 124 mph in 8.5 seconds. It also maxes out at 211 mph.
This car will be the king of any road. Keep checking back here for more info as productions draws closer.
